CVR Calc app – Updated

The CVR Calc app, which has been freshly updated, is now available on the Apple Store for iOS, with a MacOS version also accessible. The Android version, launched on July 21st, is available on the Google Play Store, making it accessible globally to healthcare providers. CVR Calc 2.0 determines the catheter-to-vessel ratio (CVR), a crucial factor in minimizing complications such as thrombosis and vessel damage during vascular access procedures for neonatal, pediatric and adult patients.

By utilizing CVR Calc, clinicians possess a definitive and reliable tool with updated calculations to 2 decimal places (V1 was only to 1 decimal), thereby enhancing accuracy and facilitating informed decision-making to improve patient outcomes worldwide. This launch is timely during the #AVA2025 conference, where CVR is a focus of a general session topic to increase awareness of the importance of measuring an intravascular vessel.

Existing users of CVR Calc are advised to update to the latest version to benefit from the enhanced features. These updates also include specific French sizes for neonatal and pediatric catheters as requested by specialist clinicians.
